Gaussian Splats
I am currently exploring Gaussian splats, a new method of 3D scanning that offers unique advantages in capturing and rendering detailed surfaces. When coupled with Unreal Engine 5, this technique has the potential to enhance real-time visualisation, providing more accurate and efficient ways to represent complex objects and environments in 3D.

While visiting London, I had the opportunity to create a Gaussian splat scan of this marble statue. This technique captures its intricate details and weathered surface, allowing for a highly accurate digital preservation.
